"We Don't Need a Moral Judgment from the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs"

Says Nancy Pelosi. This of course in response to General Peter Pace's statement that homosexual behavior is an "immoral act."

This statement says more about the mindset of today's Democrats than anything I have seen in a long time. If the top general in the U.S. military can't make moral judgments, who can?

By extension, if the generals can't make moral judgments, how can our fighting men and women on the ground?

Now I know I may be stretching a fairly innocent statement too far, but I think it is reflective of the modern Left's worldview. Moral judgments are off limits; to our soldiers, to our churches, to everyone. That's why the Iraq war, and the overall war on militant Islam are protested so vehemently. There can be no moral comparisons made between us and them, so we can never truly say that we are in the right.

This has little to do with homosexuality, or the wisdom of General Pace's statement, and everything to do with the modern Left's view of morality.
